Today, I’m combining the last two article topics into one; the statistic this time is Expected Goals + Expected Assists per 90, abbreviated as xG+xA/90.

Per fantasyfutopia.com, “The current standard is to use ‘per 90’ units, which tell us the production of a particular stat over a 90-minute period. This is much easier to read than just looking at stats on a per minute basis. To convert totals to per 90 units, simply divide the total by the minutes played and multiply by 90.”

Leading Major League Soccer in xG+xA per 90 as of July 20th is the greatest soccer player of all time, Lionel Messi. His xG+xA per 90 is 1.14, well ahead of second-place Atlanta United’s Jamal Thiare with 1.00.
