Yesterday’s topic was Pass Completion Percentage; today we’re switching gears to a streak of Per 90 stats! Enjoy the Article Below about Goals Per 90.
Per fantasyfutopia.com, “The current standard is to use ‘per 90’ units, which tell us the production of a particular stat over a 90-minute period. This is much easier to read than just looking at stats on a per minute basis. To convert totals to per 90 units, simply divide the total by the minutes played and multiply by 90.”
No surprise here, Lionel Messi leads Major League Soccer in Goals Per 90 with 1.00; however, that wouldn't be the case unless San Diego FC’s Milan Iloski hadn’t been let go via termination of his loan. Milan had an outrageous 1.44 Goals Per 90 before being let go last week.
For all St. Louis City Fans watching, here's how City SC ranks in Goals per 90: Joao Klauss leads the team with 0.44, followed by Cedric Teuchert with 0.23, and Marcel Hartel comes in third with 0.18.
